Calecim Hair Loss System
Calecim uses a concentrated growth factor preparation applied to the scalp immediately after microneedling, while the channels created are still open. It offers a route for patients who want growth factor treatment without blood draws, or who want to add a topical protocol between PRP sessions.

What it treats
Early to moderate pattern thinning and diffuse hair loss. Like all growth factor approaches it works on follicles that are still present and miniaturising, not on areas that are fully bald.
How it is done
The scalp is microneedled to create controlled channels, then the preparation is applied directly and massaged in. A course is typically a series of in-clinic sessions with an at-home topical protocol between them. Each appointment takes around thirty minutes.
Results and timing
Reduced shedding within a couple of months, with density changes visible from three to six months. As with PRP, it needs ongoing maintenance to hold the result.
Common questions
How does Calecim compare with PRP?
Both deliver growth factors. PRP uses your own platelets and requires a blood draw; Calecim is a standardised preparation applied topically after microneedling. Some patients do both. Which suits you is discussed at consultation.
Do I need a diagnosis first?
Yes. Hair loss has many causes — hormonal, nutritional, autoimmune, thyroid, stress-related — and treating the wrong one wastes months. Scalp examination and relevant blood tests come before any treatment.
Before you book. This page is general information, not medical advice. Whether this treatment suits you can only be decided at a consultation, after assessment. All procedures carry risks, which will be explained in full beforehand.
