Chemical Peel
A chemical peel applies an acid solution to remove surface layers of skin in a controlled way, prompting replacement with newer, more even tissue. Depth is chosen deliberately, from a light refresh with no downtime to a medium peel with visible flaking for several days.

What it treats
Uneven pigmentation, melasma, sun damage, active acne and post-acne marks, dullness, fine lines and rough texture. Peel type and strength are selected for the problem and for your skin — salicylic for oily and acne-prone, glycolic and lactic for texture and tone, and specific combinations for pigmentation.
Skin tone matters here
Darker and Middle Eastern skin types carry a genuine risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation if a peel is taken too deep or too fast. The protocol is therefore built around preparation, conservative depth and gradual progression across a course — not a single aggressive treatment. Priming the skin for several weeks beforehand is often required.
Results and timing
Light peels give brightness within days with minimal flaking, and work best as a course of four to six. Medium peels produce three to seven days of visible peeling and a more substantial result. Strict sun protection afterwards is not optional, particularly in Bahrain.
Common questions
Will a peel make my melasma worse?
It can, if chosen or performed badly — melasma is easily aggravated by heat, light and inflammation. Treated carefully as part of a broader plan including topical treatment and rigorous sun protection, peels help. Melasma needs ongoing medical management, not a peel on its own.
How much peeling will I see?
It depends entirely on depth. Light peels may produce almost none. Medium peels flake visibly for about five days. You will be told exactly which to expect before you commit.
