Sculptra
Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid. It does not fill — it provokes a controlled response that makes your own body lay down new collagen over several months. The product itself is gradually absorbed. What remains is tissue you grew yourself.

What it treats
Generalised facial thinning and volume loss, particularly in the temples, cheeks and jawline. It suits patients who want restoration that arrives slowly enough that nobody can point to a date, and it works well for those with significant volume loss who would need a great deal of conventional filler.
How it is done
Reconstituted and injected in the deep dermis or subcutaneous plane across the treatment area. A course is usually two to three sessions, six weeks apart. You will be asked to massage the treated areas daily for five days after each session, which reduces the risk of nodules.
Results and timing
Deliberately gradual. The immediate post-treatment fullness is only fluid and disappears within days. Real change appears from six weeks and continues building for six months. Results can last two years or more.
Common questions
Why choose this over filler?
For gradual, global restoration rather than targeted shaping, and for longevity. The trade-off is patience — you will see very little for the first six weeks.
What are the risks of Sculptra?
The recognised risk is small nodules forming under the skin, usually from inadequate dilution, placement that is too superficial, or skipped massage. Proper technique and careful aftercare make this uncommon.
