Polynucleotides
Polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments that act as a regenerative signal rather than a filler. They improve the skin's own repair capacity, hydration and vascularity. They are commonly used for thin, dark, crepey under-eye skin, where filler is often not the right tool.

What it treats
Thin and crepey under-eye skin, dark circles caused by skin translucency rather than hollowing, poor skin quality on the face and neck, some types of scarring, and skin that heals badly. Also useful for patients who are not good candidates for filler.
How it is done
A series of small superficial injections across the treatment area. A course is usually three sessions, two to three weeks apart. Each takes fifteen to twenty minutes under topical anaesthetic.
Results and timing
Gradual. Texture and hydration improve after the first session; the meaningful change in skin thickness and tone appears over the course and continues for weeks after it finishes. Typically maintained with a single session every six months.
Common questions
Is this better than filler for dark circles?
For many people, yes. If the darkness comes from thin skin showing the vessels underneath, filler can make it worse by adding bulk and shadow. Polynucleotides thicken and improve the skin itself. If the problem is a true hollow, filler is still the answer. The distinction is made at consultation.
What is it derived from?
Purified DNA fragments, most commonly of salmon origin, refined to remove protein. Please mention any fish allergy at your consultation.
